Pop up unicorn box

Hello!

I am up on the papermilldirect blog today with this pop up box.

I love making pop up cards and the great thing about this pop up box is that it lies flat so its super easy to post.

The products I used are:

You will also need:

  • Pop up box die (Spellbinders)
  • Unicorn stamps (Hero Arts)
  • Acetate
  • Copic markers
  • Memento ink
  • Heat gun
  • White embossing powder (WOW)
  • Pattern Paper (Paper Addicts)

Pop Up Unicorn

To start with you will need a couple sheets of New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm to make your pop up box. You will need to adhere all the sides together and the pieces of card that go across the box. I used Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm.

I then stamped and coloured the images onto some White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I trimmed these out and cut some strips of acetate and adhered the bottom of the acetate along the middle pieces of card in the box. I then adhered the images at the top of the acetate using Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm.

I then cut out four smaller squares of pattern paper and adhered these to the box flaps.

Next I heat embossed the greeting onto a piece of Pompelmo Nettuno Linen Effect Card 280gsm. I adhered this using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

The pop up box is now complete.

This will certainly make someone happy especially when they pull this out of an envelope and it will pop into shape.

Thanks for reading!

Hello!

I’m up today on the Uniquely creative blog today with this cute pop up box tutorial. These koalas are so sweet and it’s a fun way to make a pop up card.

Supplies needed:

Uniquely Creative Little fences Die

Uniquely Creative Triangle Fade Stencil Mini Kit

Uniquely Creative Block Outline Sentiment Stamp

Other:

Memento ink

Copic Markers: E23, E39, E47, E40, E43, C2, C4, R20, R27, R29, R39, B02, B12, B24, YR02, YR15

Spellbinders Scalloped Pop Up box

Embossing powder

Acetate

Pink, brown and yellow pigment ink

Steps to make the card:

1: To start with, I die cut all the pieces I needed for the pop up box. I then cut out some smaller squares measuring 2 ½ inches and used my pink and yellow pigment ink to colour the squares in. I then used the September Triangle Fade Stencil and ink blended some yellow over them. I adhered these onto the sides of the box.

2:  I also die cut some fences and used a brown pigment ink to colour them in. I added these to each for sides of the box and used two larger ones for the middle of the box.

3: Stamp all your images from the G’day Mate stamp set and colour them in. After cutting out, I adhered some adhesive to the bottom of the acetate strips and adhered them onto the box.

4: I heat embossed the sentiment from the Block Outline Sentiment stamp set and added this to the back of the box.  This piece needs a longer strip of acetate so be sure to used plenty of glue.

5: To finish the card off I added a koala and a bird to the front of the box.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
