Thank you box card

Hello friends.

I’m up on the papermilldirect blog today with a fun box card that also folds to fit into your standard size envelopes.

I used:

Raspberry Pink Plain Card 240gsm
Apple Green Card Plain 240gsm
White Card Super Smooth 250gsm
Violet Plain Card 290gsm

You will also need the following craft supplies:
Paper Trimmer
Scoring board
Critter stamps I used Hello Bluebird
Rectangle Die or any shape die ( this will be for your window)
White embossing powder
Heat gun
Foam Tape
Pva glue
To start with you will need to cut down two pieces of card to the following measurements:
5 inches by 3/4 then turn the card and trim at 4 1/2
Next score a line at 4 1/2 and 5 1/4 inches.
Next using one piece of card I die cut a rectangle so that when the box is put together this will be showing the inside. Depending on the size of your die you will need to trim the side of your box flap so that once it’s all adhered it will all fit together nicely. I did adhere my box together before working on the inside of the box.
For the inside I trimmed down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm to A6 size and ink blended the background using inks. I coloured all my images and trimmed them out. I then die cut some grass using Apple Green Card Plain 240gsm and adhered this to the bottom of my insert and also behind the die cut piece of box.
Next I adhered the A6 piece into my box using double sided tape, I then added all the critters using foam tape and PVA glue.
For my greeting I stamped a sentiment onto a piece of Violet Plain Card 290gsmand heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I trimmed this down and adhered acetate to the sentiment and adhered onto the bottom of the box.
Your box card is now complete.
You can trim down a smaller piece of card and adhere to the back of your box to write your sentiment.
I hope you have fun making some box cards.

Enjoy the little things in life

Hello friends!

I hope your all keeping well. I wanted to make a sweet happy and colourful card and used the gorgeous Let the sun shine stamps and Snail mail stamp set. I also added a cute worm from the Worm wishes. These images are just a ray of sunshine and I had so much fun colouring them in!

To start with I ink blended the background using some distress ink in pink, blue and green. Once this is complete I adhered this to my card base. I then coloured in the images using copic markers and cut them out. I then adhered the images to my card with foam tape.

For the sentiment I used some bright pink card and heat embossed the greeting using white embossing powder. I then trimmed this down and adhered this onto my card.

Instructions
1. Stamp your images onto Copic friendly paper and colour them. Use the matching fussy cutting dies to die cut them out.

2. Die cut the Stitched 3 Window Die from white cardstock. Take the middle die cuts out and start with the Distress Oxide ink blending.

3. After the ink blending is complete, use the frame die and place onto the card base. This will later be removed so do not adhere this piece down. Using foam tape, adhere the middle sections onto the card where they would usually be when you first die cut the frame. Use the frame as a guid on where to place the ink blended pieces so that they fit onto the card base perfectly. Once the ink blended sections are adhered, the frame can be removed.

4. Next, heat emboss the two sentiments from the stamp set. Stamp one onto a piece of pink card and the other onto a piece of blue card. Use white embossing powder to heat set the sentiments. Using the matching die, die cut the sentiment ‘Fun is Good’. Trim the other sentiment down.

5. Start adhering the stamped images onto the card using foam tape. Add the two sentiments to the card using foam tape.

Together is my favourite place to be

Hello friends!

I hope your all keeping well. I wanted to make a sweet card using the gorgeous Magengo Awesome Day Digital Stamps. I just love the cute images and wanted to make a scene card.

To make this card I used a blue card base and die cut a pond scene using white card. I then added some distress inks to colour the die cut pieces and adhered this onto my card base. I then printed my stamps and coloured them in with copic markers and trimmed them out.

Using foam tape I adhered the images onto my card.
I then heat embossed a sentiment Kookaburra Party uniquely creative onto some black card using white embossing powder, I then adhered this onto my card. To add some more scene pieces I added some mushrooms from the Magengo snail mail and some grass and flowers. I also added some clear drops to the water to add some added texture.
I also added some trimcraft puffy paint to the grass edges this was so fun to use!

You make me smile

Good morning I hope your keeping well and safe. It still seems strange being on lockdown but I hope your managing to get some crafty time in.

I have my first post on the Time for tea designs blog as a design team member. I’m so excited to be part of this amazing team.
I also have a video tutorial that you can watch here:

Video tutorial
I used the gorgeous Time For Tea Designs Butterfly Stamp set and the Coordinating Dies.
I started by first ink blending some plain white card using distress Ink. This will be the background.
I then stamped all my images and coloured them in with copic markers, using the coordinating dies I adhered some washi tape to the dies before running them through my die cutting machine.

I then adhered the ink blended piece of card to my card base using some double sided tape. Once this is complete I started on my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of pink card using some Versamark ink and then sprinkled some white embossing powder over this. I then heat set the sentiment with my heat gun. Trim the sentiment down and adhere to your card using some foam pads.

I then adhered all the die cut images onto my card.

To finish the card off I added some sparkly glitter glue to the hat, flower and butterflies.
Your card is now complete.
