Boys birthday card

Hello! I always find masculine cards really tricky to make but this one is simple and pretty easy to create.

Products used:

Papermill direct slate grey card stock

Navy plain card

White card super smooth card stock (my favourite)

Stick it 3D foam tape

Anita’s PVA glue

I have a full tutorial on the Papermilldirect blog I would love for you to have a read.

I used a star background stamp which I heat embossed with clear embossing powder, this is great for adding some shine and texture. I then used this sweet bus stamp and coloured the image in with my copic markers. The last step was to stick my stamped greeting and the card is complete.

Do you find men’s/ boys card difficult to make? Sometimes I get stuck working on them and they end up in such a mess they go in the bin! Ha! This card is simple to make so hopefully your card will turn out fine. Plus it helps having some more masculine card stock colours in your stash, this really helped me to make the card. It would look more feminine on a white card base so lots of dark colours is always helpful.

If you re make this card please let me know I would love to see your creation!

Thank you for stopping by, have a lovely evening!

Spellbinders never stop making

Hello!

I was really lucky and got sent some beautiful dies from Spellbinders and I made the following two cards:

This champagne flute die is so adorable and I thought it would look nice if I die cut the background with them. It’s perfect for a wedding or anniversary card.

I used the spellbinders D-Lites Beverages Etched Dies. There is lots more beverages in this cute package which is perfect for your cards.

I then made this masculine card with the adorable tv and control. I know this die will come in very handy for masculine cards especially if they are computer lovers!

I used the spellbinders die D-Lights You’ve Got Game. Its so fun to make some cards using the adorable game dies.

Please head over to the spellbinders website to see all the lovely products and a ton of inspiration.

Thank you Spellbinders and thank you for stopping by today I hope you have a lovely day!

Catching up

Hello! I hope your having a lovely Friday, sorry it’s been quiet over here on my blog I have moved and finally getting everything unpacked.

I have been making cards some evenings so here’s my most recent makes:

I made this shaker card and used the sweet squirrel from my favourite things. I coloured her in with distress inks and I love the glitter paper from papermill direct it doesn’t shed woohoo!!!

Another card made using my favourite things stamps these bears are so fun for birthday cards. I coloured these with my copics.

This cute little bear is perfect for a masculine card and I have to admit men cards aren’t my thing I find them really hard to make and they usually end up in the bin! This stamp set is by Newton’s nook and is great if your struggling like me with a man card.

Here’s a peek into my card stock I am trying to use up more coloured card as again I sometimes find it a challenge to use them. I usually stick to white and make my own colour backgrounds, but I’m going to challenge myself to use the bright card.

Thank you so much for stopping by I will be back soon with a super exciting post!
