Unicorn birthday card

Hello crafty friends.

I absolutely love unicorns and made a sweet birthday card for the girls today. I’ve used this adorable waffle flower stamp it just makes me smile every time I look at it.

I’ve made a shaker circle so that the unicorn is looking out. I’ve also heat embossed the sentiment strip and die cut the word hooray in glitter card because let’s be honest it’s not a proper unicorn card without glitter.

I could of easily added more glitter but I had to stop myself ha ha!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great day.

Here’s the tutorial;

Using different coloured inks onto plain card can really bring some colour and texture to your card.

You will need:

You will also need:

Papermill1

To make the card base I trimmed my card base using Blu Navy Nettuno Linen Effect Card 280gsm to 4 1/8″ X 5 7/8″. I then trimmed down a smaller piece of card using White Card Super Smooth 250gsm for my card panel. I also stamped my images onto a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and coloured them in. I then trimmed the images out and placed aside.

To ink blend the background I picked up the inks with a sponge and started working on the edges and slowly blended the colours to the middle. I then added some splashes of white paint. Once this was dry I adhered this to my card using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then adhered the coloured images to the card using some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then used a piece of Black Plain Card 240gsmto heat emboss the sentiment. Trim this down and adhere to your card.

To finish off the card I adhered some sequins using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

Your card is now complete.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Reading is dreaming

Good morning!

I absolutely love reading and I read every night so when I saw this Uniquely creative stamp and colour kit Read Past Your Bedtime kit I instantly fell in love with it. I love the sweet girl on the chair and how sweet is that little dinosaur!

For this card I had an idea in my head of her reading and dreaming and I wanted a relaxing theme so I made a night sky with white paint so they will look like stars. I used Papermilldirect blue navy Nettuno card which has a texture too so I thought it would work great with my idea.

I then stamped the images and watercolored them in. For the sentiments I used some Wow gold embossing powder onto Papermilldirect plain black card and adhered them onto the card.

I then added a few Uniquely creative bling drops to finish the card off.

I think she looks very relaxed sitting in her chair among the stars. Now I’m off to do some reading myself….

Thank you for stopping by today.

I hope you find time to read hopefully among the stars too!

Congrats window card

Good morning, can you believe we are in September already…..

I haven’t made a window card for a long time so I thought it would be fun to create one. Plus it’s super easy to make too which is great if you need to quickly make a card.

I used a bracket die for my window and run this through my die cutting machine.

My sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I then stamped and coloured my images and adhered them onto my card front, I used a pretty pastel paper for the inner card.

Thanks so much for popping over I hope you have a great weekend!
