I really love making fun cards that are great for kids and big kids. I have this fun card up today which is full of monster fun.

You will need:

You will also need:

  • Monster stamp (Uniquely Creative)
  • Zig Real Brush Markers
  • Waterproof Ink Pad (My Favorite Things)
  • White Embossing Powder
  • Versamark ink
  • Heat Gun
  • White Paint

Monster2

To start with I made my card base using Slate Grey Smooth Card 240gsm which I trimmed down to 4 1/8 and scored at 5 7/8 inches. I then trimmed down a smaller piece of Black Plain Card 240gsm that is a bit smaller than the card base. I mixed up my paint and made paint splashes onto the card. I used my heat gun to quickly dry the paint. I then adhered this to my card base using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

For the monsters I used a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and stamped them all with waterproof ink. I then water coloured the images in but be careful not to get the card too wet otherwise it will tear. Once dry I cut them out and adhered them to the card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then used another piece of Black Plain Card 240gsm and heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder. I then trimmed this down and adhered to the bottom of my card using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

You fun space card is now complete! You can add any embellishments or glitter if you wanted too, I think it would great with some sparkle!

Your always on the nice list

Good morning!

I have a sweet tutorial on the papermilldirect blog today.

If you haven’t seen Papermilldirect’s Materica card range I really recommend you take a look this cardstock is absolutely beautiful. Its so lovely and I have used some for this Christmas card.

To make this card you will need:

You will also need:

  • Christmas stamps
  • Copic markers or any colouring medium of your choice
  • Vellum
  • Clear embossing powder
  • White embossing powder
  • Heat gun
  • Versamark ink
  • Grid background stamp
  • Enamel dots

Nicelist

To make your card base you will need a sheet of Clay Materica Card 250gsm. I cut this down to 4 1/4 inches and scored along the middle at 5 1/2 inches. Fold in half and you now have your card base.

I then stamped my Christmas images onto some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and I coloured them in with my copic markers and cut them out.

I then cut down a piece of vellum and stamped the grid background stamp onto the vellum using versamark ink, I then added some clear embossing powder and melted this with my heat gun. Once this is done I added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm to the back of the vellum and adhered this onto my card front. I then adhered down the bear onto the vellum.

For the sentiment I used a piece of Black Plain Card 250gsm and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I adhered the sentiment down using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish the card off I added some white enamel dots.

I love how simple this card looks and you can also make a few in bulk to save you time.

I hope you have fun making some Christmas cards and you will be spoiled for choice with the gorgeous Materica range.

Thank you so much for reading

Merry

For the card base I used a piece of Cashmere Sirio Colour Card 290gsm which I cut down to 4 1/4 inches and I scored this at 5 1/2 inches and folded in half. As this card is so stunning I wanted it to be the main focal point of my card. I stamped my images onto some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and coloured them in with my copic markers.

I then cut out my images and adhered these above the greeting with some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish off the card I added some twine at the top.

I am really excited about the new Sirio Colour Card, the colours are so lovely and the quality is amazing as usual! I really hope you have a look at the colour range you will not be disappointed.

  • Oval die
  • Pattern paper
  • Hooray die
  • White embossing powder
  • Heat gun
  • Twine

To make my card base I used a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm which I cut down, scored and folded in half. I also trimmed down an extra front panel using White Card Super Smooth 300gsm, which I used to cut a scalloped oval.

Die cutting on super smooth white card

Good morning!

Today I am up on the Papermilldirect blog with this card tutorial:

I love die cutting my card and adding them to cards and today I will show you how well Papermilldirect cardstock cuts. I have used different brands in the past and to be honest sometimes the card does not die cut well but Papermilldirect card is a dream to die cut. It also works fantastic on electronic die cutting machines as well as manual.

Today I used one of my favorite Papermilldirect card stock White Card Super Smooth 300gsm. I really recommend stocking up on this card stock its so versatile and I use this on every card I make. It is also fantastic for your copic markers and alcohol markers too.

For this card you will need:

You will also need:

  • Stitched detail border dies
  • Heart dies
  • Die cutting machine
  • Animal stamps
  • Black ink
  • Twine
  • Pearl drops

Pmd4

To make my card base I cut down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm, which I then trimmed, scored and folded in half. I also used another piece to make the card front and to stamp and colour my images.

With the card front I used a stitched die and run this through my die cutting machine. White Card Super Smooth 300gsm is a super thick card and leaves a lovely crisp stitched detail along the edge. I then stamped my sentiment and die cut a heart with some more White Card Super Smooth 300gsm.

I then added some patterned paper to my card base and trimmed down my front panel and I adhered this onto my base using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then added my coloured images to the bottom of my card and adhered these down using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I added some twine to the top of the card and added some pearl drops to finish the card off.

If you are a fan of ink blending I have some cards on the Papermilldirect blog using pigment inks and White Card Super Smooth 300gsm as the inks blend beautifully.

Thanks for reading my post and have fun using your dies with Papermilldirect card, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you so much for reading!
