Summer shaker card

Good morning! I am up on the Papermilldirect blog today showing you how to make this card.

The products I used are:

White Card Super Smooth 300gsm

Pink Plain Card 290gsm

Raspberry Pink Plain Card 240gsm

Daffodil Plain Card 290gsm

Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml

Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm

To start with I used a piece of Pink Plain Card 290gsm which I cut down, scored and folded in half for my card base. I then cut down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm for my card front. I did this twice as I was going to use a piece behind my shaker card. I then placed my stencil over the card and blended some pigment inks onto both pieces. After this I used my circle die and run this through my cutting machine to make a window. I then turned this over and used some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml which I placed around the edges before sticking down a piece of acetate. Once this is dry I added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm around the edges, filled with sequins then placed my other stencilled piece of card on top. This was then adhered onto my card base.

The next step is to stamp and colour your image, once this was cut out I placed this down using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. I then heat embossed the greeting onto a piece of Raspberry Pink Plain Card 240gsm using some white embossing powder. I then adhered this on the top of my card using some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish off the card I added some sequins and made an envelope with a piece of Daffodil Plain Card 290gsm which is perfect for summer.

I hope you all enjoy making a summer card!

Thanks for stopping by today I hope you have a great day!

To make the card base I used a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm which I cut in half and folded to make my card base. I then cut and A5 piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm. This is for your card front. I blended some pigment ink with the sponges to add some soft colour to the card. I then stuck this down using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. You will then need to stamp and colour your images, I always use White Card Super Smooth 300gsm for this. Its just fantastic for alcohol markers.

The next step is to die cut your word. I used another piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm which I die cut 4 times and stuck the pieces together using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then die cut another piece onto some lovely Silver Sparkle Card 280gsm and stuck this onto the rest of the dies. I added the stamped image to my card with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. The die cut word was then placed under the image using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. You will then need to heat emboss a sentiment I used some Raspberry Pink Plain Card 240gsm and white embossing powder. I placed this near the bottom of the card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish the card off I added a few sequins and stuck them down onto the card front using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

I really love the card colours here and I am sure they will brighten up someone’s birthday.

I hope you have as much fun as I did creating this card.

Bunny thank you

Good morning! I’m up on the Papermilldirect blog today showing you how to create this sweet card.

The products I used are:

White Card Super Smooth 300gsm

Pink Plain Card 290gsm

Silver Sparkle Card 280gsm

Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm

Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml

• Thank you die

• stitched die

• bunny stamps

• copic markers

• cuttlebug machine

• vellum

• sequins

To start with I made my card base using some Pink Plain Card 290gsm, which I cut and folded in half. I then cut down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm for my card front. I placed some stitched dies over my card and ran it through the cuttlebug machine.

The next step was to stamp and colour the bunnies and I used some more of the White Card Super Smooth 300gsm for this. I then cut the images out and placed them aside.

You will then need a thank you die and I used some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm to cut out the thank you, I did this 4 times and glued the pieces together with Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then cut one more piece out using the pretty Silver Sparkle Card 280gsm and stuck this onto the other dies. This adds great dimension to your cards.

I then adhered the card front to the base using some more Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml, once this was done I glued down the thank you die and added the bunnies to the bottom of the card using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To add a bit more texture I added some vellum and finished off the card with sequins. I love how nice the pink and silver card go together and this colour combination is definitely one of my favourites.

I hope you enjoy making this soft and pretty card.

Thanks for stopping by today have a lovely day!

Spellbinders never stop making

Hello! I hope you are having a great start to the week.

I was very grateful to receive these beautiful dies from Spellbinders and I had so much fun making these cards. They cut absolutely beautifully and I will be using these dies on many more cards.

I used the Shapeabilities Lavender Swag dieand I added some embossing powder to the edges.

This beautiful wreath is stunning and I had so many ideas of what to do with it but in the end I chose to make a cute baby card and I added some silver embossing to the edges to really make it pop. This die is great to keep on hand as there are so many different uses and it is just gorgeous!

This beautiful flower die is so pretty and elegant I used the Card Creator Poppies Pocket Cardso I knew straight away it would make a perfect wedding card but there are so many uses for this. I added some watercolour on top of the flowers to keep the soft colours and I also added a few sequins.

The flowers also emboss onto the card stock which leaves a beautiful image. So stunning! If you would like to see lots of beautiful dies, stamps and loads of inspiration please have a look at the gorgeous spellbinders website .

Thank you so much to Spellbinders I am truly grateful and I can’t wait to start making more cards with these dies thank you!

Thank you for popping by today

Catching up

Hello! I hope your having a lovely Friday, sorry it’s been quiet over here on my blog I have moved and finally getting everything unpacked.

I have been making cards some evenings so here’s my most recent makes:

I made this shaker card and used the sweet squirrel from my favourite things. I coloured her in with distress inks and I love the glitter paper from papermill direct it doesn’t shed woohoo!!!

Another card made using my favourite things stamps these bears are so fun for birthday cards. I coloured these with my copics.

This cute little bear is perfect for a masculine card and I have to admit men cards aren’t my thing I find them really hard to make and they usually end up in the bin! This stamp set is by Newton’s nook and is great if your struggling like me with a man card.

Here’s a peek into my card stock I am trying to use up more coloured card as again I sometimes find it a challenge to use them. I usually stick to white and make my own colour backgrounds, but I’m going to challenge myself to use the bright card.

Thank you so much for stopping by I will be back soon with a super exciting post!

Today is a good day to be happy

Hi! I love this quote from waffle flower crafts “today is a good day to be happy”. It’s so true isn’t it we often wake up feeling the opposite so I am going to keep this quote with me. It’s so important to wake up feeling positive.

I recently got this cute stamp set and wanted to make something straight away.

I love this cute bear on the bike along with the quote so here is the card I made I hope it cheers you up.

I stamped all the images with versamark ink and coloured them in with copics. I also used a metal die to emboss the square which is great as now I can use my dies to emboss along with embossing folders!

This bestie card is made using mama elephant stamps, again I coloured them in with my copic markers. This card took a long time to make but I really enjoyed it, I started with my distress inks to blend the background and die cut the words bestie. I was going to leave it there but I thought it would be fun to turn this into a shaker card, as you know I love a shaker!

I then added all the pieces together and ended up with this as the finished result.

Thank you so much for stopping by today I hope you have a great day!
