Fairytale wishes birthday card

Hello there!

It’s been a bit miserable lately so I wanted to make a bright card that’s cute! I love making my own backgrounds with ink and used lots of purple for this. I also love to heat emboss and stamped my greeting with white embossing powder to make it stand out.

I used Uniquely creative fairytale wishes stamp and colour kit for the whole card. I love the images and the smiling star is just gorgeous!

I used my copic markers to colour the images and added lots of gems.

This will be a lovely birthday card or just a happy card to send someone.

Thanks for stopping by!

Congrats floral card

Hello crafty friends!

I am up on the papermilldirect blog with a lovely floral congratulations card. I never seem to have a congratulations card when I need one so I’ve made a few of these for my stash.

Here’s the tutorial:

You will need:

You will also need:

  • Floral stamp (Uniquely Creative)
  • Congrats Die
  • Watercolour paints
  • Waterproof Ink Pad
  • Gems

Pmdcongrats

To make the card base I trimmed down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm to 4 1/4 and I scored this at 5 7/8″ inches. I then trimmed down a smaller piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm as my card front. I added a few splatters of pink and purple watercolour to my card front and while this dried I stamped the floral images onto some more White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I used a waterproof ink pad so that when I coloured the flowers in with the paint the ink wont spread and make a mess. I only used a small amount of water too.

Once the floral images are dry cut them out and place onto your card front using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

Using the congrats die I die cut the word using some Flamingo Pink Non-Shedding Glitter Card 285gsm and adhered this onto the card base using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

I then added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mmto the whole back of the card front and adhered this onto the card base.

To finish off the card I added some little gems which I stuck down with some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then made an envelope using a piece of Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm.

I hope this has helped you with creating a pretty congrats card. You can change the greeting to other sentiments too. I think this would look pretty as a birthday card too.

Have a lovely day!

To make the card base I trimmed down a piece of Black Plain Card 240gsm to 4 1/4 inches and then scored the card at 5 7/8 inches.

Next I trimmed the card front piece using White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I trimmed this a little bit smaller than the card base. I then used the large leaf die and stamped a background of leaves. Using some green copic markers I coloured all the leaves in. I then used a dark grey and black marker to colour the whole background in. This does take time but I think its really worth it as I had lots of fun colouring the background. I then used some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and adhered this to my card base.

Next I stamped the koalas onto a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and coloured them in. I then trimmed them out and started die cutting some leaves. I used a piece of Xmas Green Double Sided Pearlised Card 300gsm for this. I then adhered the leaves and koalas down with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

Next I heat embossed the sentiments using white embossing powder onto some more Black Plain Card 240gsm. I trimmed these down and adhered onto the card with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish the card off I added some gems.

I hope this inspires you to make your own background.

Using this piece of card and a circle die run this through the die cutting machine so you will have a circle cut out in the center of your card. Turn the piece of card over and use Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml or Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mmand add this around the edge of the circle. Place your piece of acetate over this and let the glue dry. Once dry use some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and run this around the edge of the circle. Fill the circle up with sequins and gems and adhere to the card base.

Using a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm stamp and colour all your images and colour them in. Trim them out and adhere to the card using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

On another piece of Turquoise Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm stamp the greeting and heat emboss this with white embossing powder. On another piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm stamp and heat emboss a birthday greeting and adhere both to your card.

Thinking of you

Hello friends!

I have a thinking of you card up on the papermilldirect blog today.

I love using my copic markers but unless its a copic friendly card it will run and bleed and completely ruin your colouring. I thought I would try colouring on the Sirio Colour Card and I couldn’t believe that it didn’t run the colour from the markers! I’m so impressed!

To make this card you will need:

You will also need:

  • Floral Stamps (Uniquely Creative)
  • Sentiment (Uniquely Creative)
  • Copic Markers
  • Gems
  • White Embossing Powder
  • Heat Gun
  • Versamark Ink

Pmthinking

To start with I made my card base using Perla Sirio Colour Card 290gsm which I trimmed at 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 7/8″. I then trimmed down a piece of Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm a little bit smaller than the card front.

Next I stamped some floral branches onto the Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm to make a background. Once this was completed I coloured in the branches with my copic markers. I honestly thought the colour would bleed a little bit and I was so happy when it didn’t. I will definitely be doing this technique again.

Once all the branches were coloured in I adhered this onto my card base using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of Navy Plain Card 240gsm and trimmed this down. I adhered to my card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish the card off I adhered some gems onto the card using some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

I hope you give this a try and don’t be scared to experiment with different cards and your markers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I then added Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm all around the edge and filled the center up with sequins and gems. I adhered this to m y card front using some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. I then used some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml to adhere down the New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm circle die.

Using a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm I stamped and carefully water coloured the images in. Once dry I trimmed them out and adhered down onto the shaker card.
