Pop up unicorn box

Hello!

I am up on the papermilldirect blog today with this pop up box.

I love making pop up cards and the great thing about this pop up box is that it lies flat so its super easy to post.

The products I used are:

You will also need:

  • Pop up box die (Spellbinders)
  • Unicorn stamps (Hero Arts)
  • Acetate
  • Copic markers
  • Memento ink
  • Heat gun
  • White embossing powder (WOW)
  • Pattern Paper (Paper Addicts)

Pop Up Unicorn

To start with you will need a couple sheets of New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm to make your pop up box. You will need to adhere all the sides together and the pieces of card that go across the box. I used Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm.

I then stamped and coloured the images onto some White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I trimmed these out and cut some strips of acetate and adhered the bottom of the acetate along the middle pieces of card in the box. I then adhered the images at the top of the acetate using Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm.

I then cut out four smaller squares of pattern paper and adhered these to the box flaps.

Next I heat embossed the greeting onto a piece of Pompelmo Nettuno Linen Effect Card 280gsm. I adhered this using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

The pop up box is now complete.

This will certainly make someone happy especially when they pull this out of an envelope and it will pop into shape.

Thanks for reading!

Sweet bear Christmas card

Good morning.

Have you seen Papermilldirect’s new Sirio Colour Card? It is amazing!!! There is a beautiful range of colours and I love all of them, I used the new Cashmere Sirio Card on my project today.

The products I used are:

You will also need:

  • Christmas stamps
  • Memento ink
  • Copic markers or any colouring medium of your choice
  • White embossing powder
  • Versamark ink
  • Heat gun
  • Twine

Merry

For the card base I used a piece of Cashmere Sirio Colour Card 290gsm which I cut down to 4 1/4 inches and I scored this at 5 1/2 inches and folded in half. As this card is so stunning I wanted it to be the main focal point of my card. I stamped my images onto some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and coloured them in with my copic markers.

I then used a piece of Scarlet Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. Once this was trimmed down I used some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and adhered this at the bottom of the card. I then cut out my images and adhered these above the greeting with some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish off the card I added some twine at the top.

I am really excited about the new Sirio Colour Card, the colours are so lovely and the quality is amazing as usual! I really hope you have a look at the colour range you will not be disappointed.

Have fun making this Christmas card, you can use this simple design for any card you can just change the greetings and stamps.

Die cutting on super smooth white card

Good morning!

Today I am up on the Papermilldirect blog with this card tutorial:

I love die cutting my card and adding them to cards and today I will show you how well Papermilldirect cardstock cuts. I have used different brands in the past and to be honest sometimes the card does not die cut well but Papermilldirect card is a dream to die cut. It also works fantastic on electronic die cutting machines as well as manual.

Today I used one of my favorite Papermilldirect card stock White Card Super Smooth 300gsm. I really recommend stocking up on this card stock its so versatile and I use this on every card I make. It is also fantastic for your copic markers and alcohol markers too.

For this card you will need:

You will also need:

  • Stitched detail border dies
  • Heart dies
  • Die cutting machine
  • Animal stamps
  • Black ink
  • Twine
  • Pearl drops

Pmd4

To make my card base I cut down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm, which I then trimmed, scored and folded in half. I also used another piece to make the card front and to stamp and colour my images.

With the card front I used a stitched die and run this through my die cutting machine. White Card Super Smooth 300gsm is a super thick card and leaves a lovely crisp stitched detail along the edge. I then stamped my sentiment and die cut a heart with some more White Card Super Smooth 300gsm.

I then added some patterned paper to my card base and trimmed down my front panel and I adhered this onto my base using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then added my coloured images to the bottom of my card and adhered these down using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I added some twine to the top of the card and added some pearl drops to finish the card off.

If you are a fan of ink blending I have some cards on the Papermilldirect blog using pigment inks and White Card Super Smooth 300gsm as the inks blend beautifully.

Thanks for reading my post and have fun using your dies with Papermilldirect card, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you so much for reading!
